For the past month and a half I have started a new documentary project called Today's Artists in Tomorrow's Economy. As an artist myself I have become more and more afraid of my future and what lies ahead of me in the creative industries. On May 18, 2010 Governor Bill Ritter signed four new bills that are intended to provide more funding for the creative industries. This is what sparked my interest for the documentary. I have selected a few local artists in the field, and I am closely working with a videographer, Michael Koch. Michael Koch has been in the film industry for 20 years now and has seen the highs and lows of being a true artist in today's economy. The images shown are Michael Koch meeting with a writer and producer that are working on a new mutlimedia advertisement for a high end air fare company.
